Leifheit makes ironing is easier, more convenient and with better results than ever before
Ironing with AirActive L Express
Ironing is one of the most time-consuming household tasks: an average 200 hours is spent ironing in a fourperson household each year! Leifheit has developed a complete ironing system in the form of its new AirActive L Express that can save up to 50 percent in time. That’s around 100 hours which could otherwise be devoted to ‘the brighter side of life’.
Weighing in at just 13 kilograms, the AirActive L Express is the lightest refillable complete steam ironing system around and is some six kilograms lighter than comparable models. The system has a SuperGlide ironing surface measuring 126 x 45 cm. Its three active functions are truly outstanding: thanks to the blow function every last crease is ironed out of the laundry as if it were on a cushion of air – free of wrinkles and imprints. The suction function allows clothes to be fixed to the ironing board just where you need it. Suction also enables excess steam to be extracted, meaning that freshly ironed clothes can be worn right away or placed in the wardrobe without any subsequent wrinkling. The AirActive L Express is extremely stable and can be adjusted in height up to 100 cm. This premium product from Leifheit is thus ideal precisely for homes with large amounts of laundry.
The performance of the integrated steam station is impressive. It produces steam pressure of up to 4.2 bar and more than 70 g of steam per minute. Ironing is also speeded up by the fact that the system has a heat-up time of just two minutes and the one-litre, removable water tank can be refilled at any time. As a result, both spontaneous and uninterrupted ironing are a synch.
Hot off the press: the AirActive L Express has been distinguished with the globally recognised Plus X Award. The high-grade quality, level of user comfort and ergonomics of the Leifheit ironing system were all factors that impressed the internationally renowned specialist jury. Along with the AirActive L Steamer, this is the second ironing system to receive the prized award.
Drying in the open air is good for the environment and good for your clothes
Spring fragrance for your washing!
As the temperature rises in spring, washing can finally be dried outside in the open air again – bringing the fragrance of spring into your wardrobe. The Linomatic Deluxe rotary clothes line from Leifheit enables clothes to be dried in a clean and practical way. Even easier to open and close, it also takes the strain out of hanging out washing.
Hanging freshly washed clothes out in the garden instead of putting them in the tumble dryer is also good for the environment. Ultimately, traditional electric washer-dryers are one of the greatest electricity guzzlers in the house. One single wash-dry cycle uses about as much energy as four standard machine washes and three times as much power as a single dishwasher cycle. That doesn’t just increase CO² emissions, it also costs a fortune: a family of four can save around EUR 150 a year in energy costs by hanging the washing out to dry rather than using a tumble dryer. A saving that will recoup the cost of the Leifheit rotary washing line in the very first year.
The Linomatic Deluxe from Leifheit makes hanging out washing child’s play: the easy lift system enables the rotary line to be opened with the minimum of effort and ensures optimum line tension. Eight holders for clothes hangers offer additional space, while the Easyclip system means blouses and shirts hang securely in the wind. Overall, the Linomatic Deluxe has enough space to hang several washing machine loads. When not in use, the line is easily retracted at the press of a button on one of the carrying arms, without even having to bend down. The washing lines vanish automatically into the carrying arms to protect them from dirt. That means clean lines and clean laundry. Line tangling is also avoided. The Linomatic Deluxe is available in three different line lengths (40m, 50m, 60m).
Attractive colours from Leifheit are putting new oomph into ironing. The brightly coloured ironing board covers from Leifheit bear the names of the major cities Sydney, Barcelona, Vienna and New York and come in red, purple and for the first time ever also in pacific and green. Images such as that of the Sydney Opera House, the Sagrada Familia, the Viennese Prater and the Statue of Liberty all conjure up images of the metropolises and impart big-city flair.
Measuring a universal 150 x 50 cm and with soft 2 mm foam padding, these colourful covers are suitable for all ironing boards. All covers in the Cosmopolitan range are Oeko-Tex certified and are available as limited editions.
Leifheit presents its new household Colour Edition. The household specialist has a comprehensive range of appealing and colourful products on offer, including kitchen utensils, floor wipers, laundry dryers, ironing boards and ironing board covers. All products will be available as limited editions by the middle of the year.
There is much more to colour than we actually see. Colours influence our mood and our thoughts. That colours affect our overall well-being has long been a scientific fact. That ‘colours generate moods, awaken sympathy and trigger actions' is also something known to Professor Harald Braem of the Institute of Colour Psychology in Bettendorf. The new brightly coloured products from Leifheit stimulate energy and take the strain out of household chores.
Laundry dryers and ironing boards also with a splash of colour
Continuing Leifheit's colourful approach is the robust Condor 200 laundry dryer, which now comes in purple, pacific and fresh green. Measuring 87 x 167 x 66 cm and with anti-slip feet for robust stability, this winged laundry dryer boasts an impressive 20 m of drying line - enough for two full washing machine loads of laundry.
This year also sees ironing tasks carried with a dash of matching colour. The Fashion M ironing board with its decorative floral pattern comes in purple and pacific and is the perfect addition for the Fashion Steamer steam ironing station of the same colour. Adjustable to a height of 90 cm, the ironing board has a standard ironing surface of 120 x 38 cm, making it particularly suitable for small apartments. Complementing the range is the Classic M Express ironing board, which comes in the same colour format (height adjustable to 95 cm). The AirSteam Fusion M ironing board adjusts to a height of 98 cm and is therefore ideal for taller people.
To round off, the range is supplemented by colourful ironing board covers bearing the names of major cities such as Sydney, Barcelona, Vienna and New York. Measuring a universal 150 x 50 cm, Leifheit ironing board covers are suitable for all ironing boards. Thanks to their smooth and particularly steam permeable surface with 2 mm thick foam padding, they are exceptionally comfortable to iron on.
